Book: Paddling Southern Wisconsin

Paddling Southern WisconsinPaddling Southern Wisconsin by Mike Svob is nothing short of a bible for paddling in Wisconsin. This book has been revised for 2010 with an additional 3 trips.

What We Like:
Mike Svob explores the southern half of Wisconsin with 85 trips on 32 rivers. Every trip is broken down with a description of the expertise level, put-ins and take-outs, what to take expect on the paddle, camping information and best of all, detailed maps.

The book is well organized and gives you basic paddling information (Class definitions, terminology, etc.) at the beginning. Then it breaks down rivers into manageable or accessible “trips” with mileage information.

The Final Word:
Paddling Southern Wisconsin is an indispensable resource for paddlers of all levels. It’s a must-have for Wisconsinites (and visitors of course!) who love to explore our rivers. Miles Paddled couldn’t live without it.
