River Trails of Southern Wisconsin is a great little resource when paired with the book Paddling Southern Wisconsin. Morrall River Films takes you on a visual journey of 26 rivers in Southern Wisconsin.
What We Like:
This 2-disc set splits the Southern part of Wisconsin into West and East sections. Practically all of the rivers in the film are covered in the book Paddling Southern Wisconsin by Mike Svob (including trip for trip planning) but this allows you to see what to expect on the water. Each trip (30 in all) is no longer than 5 minutes. Put-ins and take-outs are generally described so you’ll still have to map out your trip.
The Final Word:
River Trails of Southern Wisconsin is a great sister-resource for the Mike Svob book. Seeing a river before you make your journey will help you be more prepared for your time on the water.
