Best paddled in spring when the foliage is less dense to expose more of its stunning features, this section of the Grant River has long been one of our favorite Wisconsin driftless paddles. The usual riffles and rock formations were once again delightful on this return trip, however, one large bank-to-bank deposit of trees made for an unexpected and lengthy portage through a corn field. That aside, this river has been a go-to of ours for years and will continue to be (Adjust to 1080p for the best picture).
